What is a celebrant and how does it work?

As an independent celebrant, I officiate ceremonies for any of life’s biggest milestones. Choosing to have a celebrant-led ceremony allows you the freedom to have your special day in a way that you want, as you are not tied to any set rules or regulations. We will meet to discuss your likes and preferences. From there I will craft a ceremony that truly resonates with you and your loved ones, tailoring the readings, songs, and overall tone to reflect your personality and values. On the day I will officiate and guide you through the ceremony ensuring everything runs smoothly, taking all the stress away from you.

What ceremonies do you offer?

I offer Weddings, Vow Renewals and Naming Ceremonies. Important milestones like coming of age, adoption or any life milestones can also be celebrated.

Can we include our guests in the ceremony?

Of course. Including any family members or friends in the day is always lovely and they are happy to be involved making the ceremony even more memorable.

How long will our ceremony last?

Most ceremonies last around 30 – 40 minutes, depending on what ceremony enhancements you choose to have. Each ceremony will be personally written to tailor your unique Love Story. You can include any poems, readings and songs you wish to include.

Can we have our ceremony any day of the week?

Yes, there is no restriction on what day you wish to hold your ceremony.

Can you perform the legal aspect of our marriage?

No, I officiate the ceremony, however, the official signing of your legal marriage certificate must be carried out at your local HSE.

Do you perform other ceremonies on the same date as our booking?

No, I only take one booking per day. This ensures that you have all my attention and that nothing is rushed on the day.

Can we have our ceremony anywhere?

Yes, you can hold your ceremony anywhere, You can choose a hotel, a private venue, a garden or even a forest or beach. There are no limitations to where you wish to hold your ceremony. It is your day, your way.

What ceremony enhancements can I include on the day?

You can include many different enhancements on the day such as a candle ceremony, sand ceremony, ring warming ceremony, handfasting ceremony and many more. I can advise you on the options when we discuss your ceremony requirements.

Will you help write our vows and suggest readings/songs

Yes, I can help you write personal vows, taking guidance on your values and feelings towards each other. I will also help you choose readings/poems/songs that complement your style and reflect your personality.

Can we include a religious reading?

Of course. Some couples like to include something from their religious beliefs on the day. A simple prayer or reading from your religion can be included as you are not restricted by any rules or regulations.
